  • Progress in the application of dietary therapy in inflammatory bowel disease
    Author:Gao Yuanyuan Xie Huabing Liu Chuan Dong Weiguo keyword:Inflammatory bowel disease; Western style diet; Intestinal microbiota; Dietary therapy; Nutrition;
    Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is a chronic disease of the gastrointestinal tract. It is estimated that more than 6.8 million people worldwide have been diagnosed with IBD, and the incidence rate is still on the rise, causing a large medical burden. However, IBD is currently incurable, so there is an urgent need for effective treatment methods to reduce the burden of this disease. As the most important environmental factor, diet can promote intestinal inflammation by altering intestinal permeability, causing microbial ecological imbalance, and causing immune system imbalance, thereby affecting the incidence and severity of IBD. The evidence for dietary treatment of IBD is increasing, and some dietary interventions have been found to achieve remission of IBD, including total enteral nutrition(EEN), exclusion diet for Crohn's disease(CDED), Mediterranean diet(MD), specific carbohydrate diet(SCD), and plant-based diet(PBD). The article reviews the role of diet in the pathogenesis of IBD and common dietary strategies for treating IBD, but more prospective studies are needed to confirm the benefits of diet in IBD management.
  • Interpretation of the treatment of liver depression in breast cancer from the perspective of “chronic stress immune microenvironment remodeling”
    Author:Liu Lei Li Bingbing Lin Jiamao keyword:Chronic stress; Tumor immune microenvironment; Breast cancer; Liver-qi depression; Traditional Chinese medicine treatment;
    Breast cancer is the first female malignant tumor. Modern research has found that “chronic stress-immune microenvironment remodeling” is an important mechanism for the occurrence and development of breast cancer. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that liver depression is the core pathogenesis of breast cancer, and there is a natural consistency between liver depression and “chronic stress”; Traditional Chinese medicine can improve the prognosis of breast cancer by intervening in “chronic stress-immune microenvironment remodeling” through liver soothing prescriptions. This article analyzes the relationship between the pathogenesis of liver depression in breast cancer and the “chronic stress immune microenvironment”, tries to interpret the pathogenesis of breast cancer from the perspective of “chronic stress immune microenvironment remodeling”, and explores the mechanism of the liver soothing prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine, hoping to provide a useful reference for the study of integrated traditional and western medicine in breast cancer.
  • Research progress on the role of miR-181b-5p in the occurrence and development of malignant tumors
    Author:Huang Junhui He Yingchun keyword:Micro RNA-181b-5p; Malignant tumors; mechanism;
    miR-181b-5p is a highly conserved microRNA that plays an important role in human cancer. It can complement and bind with the 3'UTR sequence of target mRNA, regulate the expression of oncogenic or tumor suppressor target genes, and thus regulate tumor proliferation, apoptosis, migration, autophagy, and cell cycle progression. In various cancers, miR-181b-5p plays a promoting or inhibiting role, and it has gradually been proven to have application value in early diagnosis, staging and grading, drug resistance targets, treatment targets, and prognostic biomarkers. This article briefly reviews the research progress of miR-181b-5p in malignant tumors in recent years.
